Calling all Artists:
Maine Boats, Homes & Harbors announces first-ever show poster design contest. Deadline December 5, 2011.
To celebrate the Maine Boats, Homes & Harbors Show’s tenth year (August 10-12, 2012), we are holding a contest for artwork to be used as part of the show’s 2012 poster. The winning artist will receive $1,000, and his or her artwork will be featured on the poster and in additional show-related marketing and promotional materials. The theme of the design must be representative of the Maine Boats, Homes & Harbors Show, which we like to think of as the pages of the magazine brought to life on the Rockland waterfront.
For 10 years, the Maine Boats, Homes & Harbors show has celebrated high-quality craftsmanship from high end furniture, fine art, and jewelry to custom-built yachts and homes. Many of the items are displayed by those who actually built them, affording visitors the chance to connect with the people behind the products. There are boats of all sizes, in the water and on land; visitors are encouraged aboard many of them. The show is also a fun, outdoors event that includes live music, food, and special events for all ages. It attracts an active, affluent, intelligent audience. Together, the show and the magazine celebrate life on the coast.
Contest deadline: Monday, December 5, 2011.
Selected artist will receive $1,000.
