The Maine Boat Show – Maine’s Newest Boat Show

Debuting this fall at Thompson’s Point in PortlandThe Maine Boat Show will feature dozens of Maine’s finest boat dealers, builders, services and marine related vendors. The October 4-6 event is produced by the Maine Marine Trades Association, a nonprofit industry association.

A fall boat show is new for the organization according to MMTA’s Director, Stacey Keefer. She believes attendees and exhibitors will love the venue in the Brick South building at Thompson’s Point. The size of the show offers a nice variety yet is still easy to fit into a weekend of other activities. Fall timing allows dealers to offer competitive prices, builders can take custom orders for spring, and service yards have time to estimate and schedule winter projects and refits.

One of the highlights of the show is the lead sponsorship by Yamaha. Maine is home to some of the top selling Yamaha dealers in New England and Yamaha has recently partnered on a new outboard technician training program at Southern Maine Community College. Yamaha understands the labor challenges facing the marine industry today and are dedicated to creating recruitment and education opportunities. By partnering with technical schools and industry partners, like the Maine Marine Trades Association, Yamaha can help connect individuals who have a passion for boating to the resources they need to enter and advance their marine technical careers. Students and children under 18 will be given free admission to the show to be able to come explore career and training opportunities.
