Mollusks, microbrews, music and more abound at the annual OysterFest extravaganza in Shelton. Always the first full weekend in October, this favorite festival draws visitors from all across the world — all in search of the perfect oyster.

Hosted by the Shelton Skookum Rotary Club Foundation and attended by thousands, OysterFest is home to the West Coast Oyster Shucking Championships and is Washington State’s official Seafood Festival. The festiva features hands-on water quality exhibits and the largest food menu this side of Bumpershoot!  It’s not all oysters, oysters, oysters – besides great seafood, you will find spring rolls, garlic shrimp, homemade strawberry shortcake, fresh cider, and more.

Sample Washington wineries in the wine pavilion and take home bottle of their best! Prefer a local Washington microbrew?  Visit the Microbrew Stage and dance to a variety of energizing bands.

Vendors at OysterFest are ALL non-profit. No commercial vendors here. Your OysterFest visit will help fund scholarships and local community improvement projects throughout the year.
