The south jetty of Jupiter Inlet is located on the coast of the Town of Jupiter Inlet Colony. In 2016, the town was ranked the “Safest Town in Florida”, yet the inlet itself is known for being the most dangerous in Palm Beach county due to the large surf and shallow sandbars at the mouth of the inlet.
