Boating, Fishing, and Travel Information for Parris Island, SC

Parris Island in Beaufort County, SC was a census-designated place that was annexed by the town of Port Royal in 2002. The area, in southern South Carolina, is best known for being home to the Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island since 1915, a training facility that 16,000 Marines pass through each year for boot camp. There are two sites on the island that are listed on the National Register of Historic Places: the Charlesfort-Santa Elena Site and the Parris Island Drydock and Commanding Generals House.
