    * Until 1030 AM CDT.

    * At 924 AM CDT, a shower capable of producing waterspouts was
    located 17 nm northeast of Pilottown. The shower was nearly
    stationary.

    HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater.

    SOURCE...Radar.

    IMPACT...Waterspouts can quickly form and capsize boats...damage
    vessels and oil rigs...and create suddenly higher waves.
    Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
    suddenly higher waves.

    * The shower will remain over mainly open waters.

    PRECAUTIONARY / PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS:

    Strong winds will be dangerous for boaters or anyone near the water.
    Boaters should avoid waterspouts and never try to navigate near them.

    At 845 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated a cluster of strong
    thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots and weak
    waterspouts. This cluster of thunderstorms is generally located 23 nm
    east of Breton Sound. The cluster of thunderstorms was nearly
    stationary.

    Mariners can expect widespread gusty winds to around 30 knots, higher
    waves and dangerous lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe
    harbor immediately until this activity passes.

    Brief, weak waterspouts are possible with this activity. Remain on
    alert in case warnings are issued for waterspout development.

    IMPACTS: Conditions will be hazardous to small craft.

    PRECAUTIONARY / PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS:

    Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller
    vessels, should avoid navigating in hazardous conditions.
