    WHERE: Jackson County in southern Mississippi...

    WHEN: Until 930 PM CDT.

    IMPACTS: Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
    and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Low-water
    crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. Expect
    many areas of slow moving or standing water. It will take several
    hours for all the water from these storms to work through local
    drainage systems in urban areas.

    ADDITIONAL DETAILS: - At 633 PM CDT, Earlier heavy rain has led to flooding and high
    water rescues in Latimer, D'Iberville, and Ocean Springs. Between
    5 to 8 inches of rain fell earlier and even though the rain has
    stopped for now the water will be slow to recede.
    - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
    expected.
    - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Ocean Springs, Moss Point, Escatawpa, St. Martin, Gautier,
    Vancleave, Hickory Hills, Wade, Helena, Big Point, Hurley, Gulf

    - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage this
    evening and continue rising to a crest of 24.5 feet tomorrow

    Tammany, Northern Tangipahoa, Pointe Coupee, Southeast St. Tammany,
    Southern Livingston, Southwestern St. Tammany, St. Helena, St.
    James, St. John The Baptist, Upper Jefferson, Upper Lafourche,
    Upper Plaquemines, Upper St. Bernard, Upper St. Charles, Upper

    IMPACTS: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,

    Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Extensive
    street flooding and flooding of creeks and rivers are possible.
    Area creeks and streams are running high and could flood with more
    heavy rain.

    ADDITIONAL DETAILS: - Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms with locally very
    heavy rainfall are expected today and potentially continuing
    through tonight. A large area with rainfall amounts of 4 to 7
    inches is expected in the watch area through tonight with
    isolated totals considerably higher.
