    IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

    Pond, Edisto Island and Bears Bluff.

    ...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 930 PM EDT THIS EVENING FOR BERKELEY AND CHARLESTON COUNTIES...

    At 746 PM EDT, Doppler radar showed the first batch of showers and
    thunderstorms have moved out of the Downtown Charleston area. These
    storms dropped between 1 and 2 inches of rain across the peninsula
    resulting in some flash flooding. City officials report some roads
    are flooded and closed. Additional showers and thunderstorms could
    move into the warning area through 930 PM, possibly resulting in more
    flash flooding.

    HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

    SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.

    IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
    highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
    drainage and low-lying areas.

    Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
    North Charleston, Mount Pleasant, Downtown Charleston, West Ashley,
    Daniel Island, James Island, Johns Island, Charles Towne Landing,
    Charleston Naval Complex and Maybank Bridge.

    This includes the following highways...
    I-26 between mile markers 215 and 221. I-526 between mile markers 11

    * At 723 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated rain was quickly ending
    across the North Charleston Area. Emergency officials and local
    media report flash flooding is still ongoing with some road
    closures. Water was reported to be in some homes. While additional
    flash flooding is unlikely in the near term, hazardous conditions
    continue. Another area of showers and thunderstorms northwest of
    Walterboro could move into the area later this evening.

    HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
    flash flooding.

    IMPACTS: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
    Overflowing poor drainage areas.

    ADDITIONAL DETAILS: - At 758 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated large clusters of showers
    and thunderstorms with torrential rainfall extending from
    Hendersonville and Green Pond east to Parkers Ferry, Ravenel,
    Meggett and West Ashley. As much as 1 to 3 inches of rain have
    fallen so far this evening and an additional 1 to 3 inches could
    fall through 10 PM. Minor flooding of low-lying and poor drainage
    areas is likely.
