* WHAT...Very cold wind chills as low as 5 degrees below zero
expected.
* WHERE...Portions of DC, central, northeast, and northern Maryland,
and central, northern, and northwest Virginia.
* WHEN...From 7 PM this evening to 10 AM EST Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...The cold wind chills could result in hypothermia if
precautions are not taken.

Temperatures will remain in the teens and 20s this morning and
into the afternoon hours. This will lead to limited melting and
refreeze of any moisture on the roads. Slick spots will be
possible, especially on elevated and untreated surfaces.
Motorists and those venturing outside during this time should be
cautious for any slick spots that they encounter. Allow extra time
for your commute and allow extra stopping space between you and
the car in front of you.
Heavy Freezing Spray Advisory issued January 20 at 8:51AM EST until January 20 at 6:00PM EST by NWS Baltimore MD/Washington DC
* WHAT...For the Small Craft Advisory, northwest winds 10 to 20
kt with gusts up to 25 kt. For the Freezing Spray Advisory,
moderate accumulation of freezing spray.
* WHERE...Chesapeake Bay from Pooles Island MD to North Beach
MD, Tidal Potomac from Cobb Island MD to Smith Point VA,
Chester River to Queenstown MD, and Eastern Bay.
* WHEN...For the Small Craft Advisory, until 5 AM EST Tuesday.
For the Freezing Spray Advisory, until 6 PM EST this evening.
* IMPACTS...Operating a vessel in freezing spray is hazardous.
Freezing spray may render mechanical and electronic components
inoperative. Ice accretion on decks and superstructures may
result in some loss of stability. Conditions will be hazardous
to small craft.
