Special Weather Statement issued December 10 at 12:47AM EST by NWS Boston/Norton MA
Colder air dropping south into far northeast Massachusetts will
allow temps to drop to near or even just below the freezing point
very early this morning. This combined with areas of
drizzle...may allow for areas of black ice to develop and impact
the morning commute. The primary area of concern is in far
northeast Massachusetts near the New Hampshire border...including
the Fitchburg...to Lowell...to Lawrence areas.
Please drive with extra caution this morning and roads that appear
wet may be icy...especially bridges and overpasses. Take it slow
and allow extra time to reach your destination.
