At 1103 AM EDT, A combination of NJDOT, automated rain gauges, and
media reports indicated flash flooding is ongoing with extensive
flooding being reported in the Highlands area of NJ and portions of
both North and South Brunswick have reported road closures. Doppler
radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across portions
of the warned area. Between 1 and 4 inches of rain have fallen
already with additional rainfall of up to 2 inches possible. For the
coastal communities this rainfall is combining with increasing high
tides to produce significant flooding. Flash flooding is already
occurring.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

Sussex, Warren and Western Monmouth, and Pennsylvania, including
the following areas, Berks, Delaware, Eastern Chester, Eastern
Montgomery, Lehigh, Lower Bucks, Northampton, Philadelphia, Upper
Bucks, Western Chester and Western Montgomery.
WHEN: Through this evening.
IMPACTS: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur
in poor drainage and urban areas.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS: - Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms are expected
across the area today. Rainfall rates of 1 to 3 inches per
hour possible. Rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible
