As a scuba diver and treasure hunter, Richard Carney recovers antique bottle glass and pottery fragments (dating from the 1790s to 1890s) from New England harbors and steamboat landings. From these historical shards, he hand creates fascinating and beautiful one-of-a-kind artwork: stained-glass lampshades and window hangings, seascape boxes, and jewelry.
