    WHAT: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

    WHERE: Berkeley County in southeastern South Carolina...
    Charleston County in southeastern South Carolina...
    Dorchester County in southeastern South Carolina...

    WHEN: Until 500 PM EDT.

    IMPACTS: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
    Water over roadways. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is
    occurring or is imminent.

    ADDITIONAL DETAILS: - At 254 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a large area of
    thunderstorms with torrential rainfall extending from west of
    Ridgeville to Moncks Corner into eastern Berkeley County. As much
    as 1 to 2 inches of rain have fallen so far today and an
    additional 1 to 3 inches could fall through 445 PM, resulting in
    minor flooding of low-lying and poor drainage areas.
    - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Summerville, Goose Creek, Moncks Corner, Ladson, Givhans Ferry
    State Park, Dorchester, Ridgeville, Old Santee Canal State Park,
    College Park and Pinopolis.

    PRECAUTIONARY / PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS:

    Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
    deaths occur in vehicles.
