Boating, Fishing, and Travel Information for Wharf Creek entrance, SC
The entrance to Wharf Creek is located off of Summerhouse Creek in Awendaw, Bull Island, Charleston County, SC. The creek goes south, traveling through a portion of Bull Island but not connecting to the Atlantic Ocean. Bull Island is part of the Cape Romain National Wildlife Refuge and is accessible by ferry. The island was home to Bulls Bay light but the lighthouse has since been lost to the sea. Boneyard Beach is also found on the island, where the sea has encroached upon a forest.
