The Clinton Harbormaster oversees the management and protection of the town’s harbor and navigable waterways in Clinton, Connecticut, on Long Island Sound, ensuring safe navigation and environmental stewardship. Working alongside the Harbor Management Commission, the Harbormaster enforces the town’s Harbor Management Plan, which includes assigning moorings, managing docking facilities, and removing abandoned vessels. The office also coordinates with local, state, and federal agencies on harbor-related matters. Mooring space permits are issued through the Harbormaster, and the role is currently held by Rob Derry, who also serves as Dock Master of the Clinton Town Marina.
