Maine's First Ship commemorates the birth of Maine's shipbuilding industry through reconstruction of the Popham Colony's 1607 pinnace VIRGINIA, the first ship built by English settlers in continental North America. A non-profit organization, MFS offers a broad range of interactive education programs the Popham Colony.
