Marshall Marine has been the sole builder of the famous Marshall Catboat line since 1962. From the 15' Sandpiper to the classic 18' Sanderling, to the rugged cruiser Marshall 22, we maintain the same high standards of quality that designer/founder Breck Marshall insisted on. Each boat is handcrafted with the finest attention to detail.
The shallow draft allows you to sail almost anywhere, or let it rest on the marsh during low tide. Slip into a quiet cove that deeper boats can't access or nose up to a beach and step off for a picnic lunch. The 15' and 18' are easily trailerable, and with the optional hinged mast you can tow them, fully rigged, wherever you want to explore. A simple gaff rig and spacious cockpit allows you to sail singlehanded or with larger groups.
Despite some preconceived ideas about the speed of catboats, the Marshall fleet is very nimble. There are active one-design racing fleets from New England to Florida. Marshall Marine offers full services to current owners and stocks virtually any catboat part you might need from pre-cut teak pieces to rigging and deck hardware. Our experienced staff can tackle anything from major refits to minor cosmetic repairs.
