    Some road closures could occur, especially in Downtown Charleston.

    HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

    ...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 730 PM EDT THIS EVENING FOR BERKELEY, CHARLESTON AND DORCHESTER COUNTIES...

    At 620 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a nearly stationary area of
    thunderstorms over North Charleston. As much as 2 to 3 inches of rain
    have fallen in some areas. An additional 2 to 3 inches could fall
    through 715 PM, resulting significant urban and flash flooding.

    At 615 PM, fire officials and local media reported multiple vehicles
    stranded in high water near Northwoods Mall. Road closures are likely
    within the flash flood warning area.

    HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
    flash flooding.

    SOURCE...Emergency management reported.

    IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban
    areas, highways, streets and underpasses.
