The Indian River Lagoon here sits between the Atlantic Ocean to the east and the mainland to the west, putting cruising boaters within easy reach of both protected inshore water and offshore access. Dolphins, manatees, and sea turtles are regularly seen in these waters, and the lagoon is recognized as one of North America’s most biodiverse estuaries — something boaters transiting the ICW through this stretch will notice.

The Jensen Beach Mooring Field is a 56-vessel facility located just offshore of the Jensen Beach Causeway at 2402 NE Causeway Boulevard, with an approach depth of 7.5 feet and dockside depth of 8 feet. Moorings can accommodate vessels up to 50 feet. Both transient and long-term moorage are accepted. Boaters should be aware that afternoon easterly winds can build chop in the mooring field. On-site amenities include restrooms, showers, laundry, a dinghy dock, vehicle and bicycle parking, weekly pump-out service, trash and recycling, and free Wi-Fi. A boat ramp is also available on site. Ashore, downtown Jensen Beach has restaurants and shops within reasonable reach of the waterfront.
