At 330 PM EST, a bowing outflow boundary was located near Smith
Shoal Light, moving east at 25 knots.
HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater.

waves, frequent lightning, and heavy downpours.

Through 4 pm, a fast moving squall line associated with a cold front
will continue to cross the Outer Gulf waters, northwestern Florida
Straits, and western Hawk Channel near 25 knots. Stronger portions
of this line are capable of producing peak wind gusts of near 30 knots
with accompanied moderate downpours and a stray thunderstorm.
Boaters should seek safe harbor as quickly, and as safely, as
possible. When downpours reduce visibility, slow down.

* WHAT...North winds increasing to 20 to 25 knots late this
afternoon and this evening. Seas building to 7 to 10 feet in
the Straits of Florida, far western Hawk Channel and the
offshore Gulf waters.
* WHERE...Lower Straits of Florida, Hawk Channel from west end
of Seven Mile Bridge to Halfmoon Shoal, and Gulf waters north
of the Lower Keys and beyond 5 fathoms including the Dry
Tortugas.
* WHEN...In Effect.
* IMPACTS...A Small Craft Advisory means that wind speeds of 20 to
33 knots, or seas of 7 feet or greater, are expected to produce
hazardous conditions for small craft. These hazardous conditions
may result in poor vessel handling and steering response,
broaching, overturned dinghies and kayaks, slips and falls on
slippery decks, rub damage along docks and seawalls, swamped
bows at reef tract mooring balls, and dragging anchors.
