The National Marine Electronics Association (NMEA) has named Midcoast Marine Electronics an NMEA Master Dealer, recognizing the Rockland, Maine-based electronics dealer as being especially committed to continuing education, technical proficiency, and customer service.
To qualify for the designation, Midcoast Marine Electronics had to demonstrate that it had at least one Certified Marine Electronics Technician on staff. The dealer also had to meet requirements for technical education and the use of specific test equipment.
For the boating public, the Master Dealer designation assures customers that they are receiving an exceptional level of service from Midcoast Marine Electronics. All NMEA Master Dealers must provide their customers with a Consumer Bill of Rights, which outlines what customers can expect from the dealer and how to file a complaint if they’re dissatisfied with their experience. All complaints are reviewed by the NMEA Master Dealer Certification Committee, and a participating dealer’s NMEA designation can be revoked if the issue is not resolved.
