Talk about 360-degree water views. This Airstream travel trailer, spotted by Bentley Collins in his Sabre 36 last summer on Islesboro Island, Maine, may be the ultimate in seaside getaways. Lest the parking brake slip and send the trailer into Penobscot Bay, its wise owner has actually removed the wheels and put them underneath the Airstream. And since every great coastal home needs great coastal food, whoever owns this delightful houseboat of sorts keeps a grey “lobster car” tied off the left-hand corner of the float, making sure that a few live crustaceans are always close at hand.
Better put the welcome mat out. Next summer, I’m stopping by for a visit!
