First Sabre 38 Salon Express Approaches Launch Date

Construction of the first hull of Sabre Yachts‘ new 38 Salon Express motoryacht continues on schedule at Sabre’s yard in Raymond, Maine. This new design from Kevin Burns and the Sabre Design Team uses several key technologies to provide boaters with a quiet, smooth and fuel efficient ride. Her hull and deck are built using Sabre’s proprietary VIP resin-infusion process which creates the strongest, lightest fiberglass structures. Weight is critical for overall performance and fuel efficiency.

Volvo Penta’s IPS 400 engines with azipod drive systems provide quiet, fuel efficient operation underway and offers the simplicity of joy stick technology around the docks for maximum operator confidence.

While layouts of her interior are innovative and new, Sabre’s history of finely finished interior joinery lives on in this design. The master cabin features an island berth with en-suite head and shower. A unique lounge area below the helm deck offers additional sleeping accommodation. Her main salon is surrounded with windows, many of which open to allow fresh air to flow through the space. The sense of outdoor living in a protected interior space is remarkable.
