The Megayacht Migration Returns to Camden

So far the summer of 2012 hasn’t seen too many large power yachts in Camden Harbor, but that changed in a big way today when the Lady J pulled up to the dock at Wayfarer Marine.

A 142′ Palmer Johnson aluminum motor yacht built in 1997 and refit in 2011, she arrived in Camden from Portland, where she spent some time at DiMillo’s Old Port Marina. Lady J‘s captain and his family have a home in Camden, and we’re delighted that he decided to pop into his home port for a quick visit. While the yacht is normally available for charter, its owner will be enjoying it himself when he leaves Camden on June 28, bound for Bar Harbor and other points downeast.

Lady J sports every amenity that passengers might desire, from the twin treadmills on the sun deck to the pair of jet-skis and the mahogany-surrounded jacuzzi, but its crew recognizes that some of the most delightful moments on any trip are enjoyed ashore, at a traditional Maine lobsterbake.
