The Tenth Annual Maine Boats, Homes & Harbors Show in Rockland on August 10-12 is presenting a first-of-its-kind exhibit that will allow visitors to see firsthand what goes into a Maine-built boat. In partnership with Back Cove Yachts, the show will have a partially completed Back Cove 34 on display. By presenting the boat with all its systems in place but without the deck installed, show organizers are allowing visitors to examine up close the way that complex equipment such as engines, generators, water systems, and electronics are installed in these top-quality production yachts. Most boat owners never see the true interior of their vessels, and this “Under the Hood” exhibit will be a perfect opportunity to learn more about whatever yacht you be interested in buying, or even already own!
