Video: Speed Dream’s First Test Sail
Though it was somewhat short-lived, Speed Dream’s first official test sail, in relatively light southerly breezes October 17 in Rockland Harbor, proved that the 27-foot prototype was capable of significant speeds even in light air. Here is a short video I shot of the yacht’s first few tacks. It’s hardly going to win me an Academy Award, but hopefully these few seconds of footage give some idea of how this yacht moves through the water. Sorry, I don’t have any footage of the keel bulb coming out of the water!
