Two Matching 10.5 Meter Tenders Launched by Hodgdon Custom Tenders
Hodgdon Custom Tenders, the Superyacht tender division of Hodgdon, has launched a 10.5 meter limousine tender and a 10.5 meter open tender at Hodgdon Yacht Services on Southport, Maine. The matching pair was designed by Michael Peters Yacht Design of Sarasota, Florida and will be delivered later this year to a Dutch shipyard. The tenders are part of Hodgdon’s Venetian series of tenders, which range in size from 6.5 meters to 12 meters.
The limousine tender features accommodations for up to 12 guests, a high definition entertainment system, refrigerator/bar, climate controlled interior, and leather upholstery. The port and starboard side windows power down to reveal generous guest boarding access. The entire salon hardtop rises hydraulically, which allows full-height headroom for ease of boarding and 360 degrees of visibility.
Highlights of the open tender include comfortable seating for up to 12 guests in a variety of configurations, a custom varnished teak table, aft sun pad, and ample storage under seats and below deck for water toys and beach amenities. The forward helm station – which matches the layout of the limousine – provides a maximum amount space in the cockpit, lending itself to water sports and other guest activities.
Much of the exterior stainless steel hardware on both tenders, including the Hodgdon signature flush anchor is custom fabricated. The meticulous level of detail invested in the layout and the installation of mechanical, electrical, and safety systems result in a tender whose construction is of unmatched quality. The Michael Peters Yacht Design hull provides stable and secure transportation, even in rough conditions. Both tenders are powered by Volvo D6-370 engines and have recorded speeds up to 35 knots during builder’s trials.
“The custom details and exceptional craftsmanship on these tenders demonstrate our commitment to the highest quality,” said Audrey Hodgdon, Director of Sales & Marketing. “The performance characteristics of the hull design are equally impressive and we are pleased to be delivering this beautiful pair of tenders.”
Upon delivery, the Hodgdon commissioning team will meet the tenders for re-commissioning and to provide crew training.
