The 5th Annual ‘Best Harbor’ Contest Voting Has Begun!
Coastal communities across the nation compete for prestigious title of “Best Harbor in the U.S.”
We’ve kicked off of the 5th annual, crowd-sourced contest to determine the most popular harbor in the United States. Coastal communities around the county, including those in the Great Lakes, are invited to vote for their favorite place to boat, fish, and enjoy life on the water, in an opportunity to be crowned 2024’s “Best Harbor”.
Vote for your harbor at: https://www.usharbors.com/best-harbor-2024/ before 6/16/2024.
The purpose of the contest is to promote the strength and vitality of coastal communities. Anastasia Fischer, President of US Harbors, says “People are passionate about living and working on our coasts, and have amazingly strong communication networks. These networks are vital in supporting the resilience—and sustainability–of our coastal communities as they increasingly face impacts of coastal flooding and extreme weather. We are honored to be able to help them strengthen their communities through this contest.”
Participation is limited to one vote per user. People can vote on any of the 1,500+ harbors for which US Harbors provides coastal weather and tides, from Maine to Hawaii, Florida to Alaska, and the Great Lakes. The winning harbors will be announced on Thursday, June 20, 2024. Commemorative plaques will be given to the Overall Winner, and each of the 6 regional winners (e.g., Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, Gulf Coast, Pacific, and Great Lakes). US Harbors will throw a special live Awards Event with harbormasters and residents of the winning harbors following the announcement of the winners.
