* WHERE...All of the tidal lakes, and Chandeleur Sound, Breton
Sound, and Mississippi Sound.
* WHEN...Until midnight CST Tuesday night.
* IMPACTS...Conditions will be hazardous to small craft.
Winter Storm Warning issued January 20 at 3:06PM CST until January 22 at 12:00AM CST by NWS New Orleans LA
* WHAT...Heavy mixed precipitation expected. Total snow and sleet
accumulations upwards of 3 inches and ice accumulations around a
light glaze. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.
* WHERE...Coastal Jefferson Parish, Lower Lafourche, Lower
Plaquemines, and Lower Terrebonne Parishes.
* WHEN...From midnight tonight to midnight CST Tuesday Night.
* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
conditions could impact the Tuesday morning and evening commutes.
Cold Weather Advisory issued January 20 at 2:23PM CST until January 21 at 6:00PM CST by NWS New Orleans LA
* WHAT...For the Cold Weather Advisory, very cold wind chills as low
as 13 expected. For the Extreme Cold Warning, dangerously cold
wind chills as low as 7 above expected.
* WHERE...Portions of southeast Louisiana and southern Mississippi.
* WHEN...For the Cold Weather Advisory, from 6 PM this evening to 6
PM CST Tuesday. For the Extreme Cold Warning, from 6 PM Tuesday to
9 AM CST Wednesday.
* IMPACTS...Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin
is exposed to these temperatures. An extended period of freezing
temperatures could cause ruptured water pipes, especially if left
exposed to the open air.
