Pennsylvania, Delaware, and northeastern Maryland.
* WHEN...From 6 PM Monday to 6 AM EST Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...The cold wind chills could result in hypothermia and
frostbite if precautions are not taken.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...This advisory is likely to be extended as
temperatures stay dangerously cold through much of the week.
Gale Warning issued January 19 at 3:06PM EST until January 20 at 6:00AM EST by NWS Mount Holly NJ
* WHAT...For the Gale Warning, northwest winds 15 to 25 kt with
gusts up to 35 kt and seas 4 to 7 ft expected. For the
Freezing Spray Advisory, moderate accumulation of freezing
spray expected.
* WHERE...Portions of Atlantic coastal waters.
* WHEN...For the Gale Warning, until 6 AM EST Monday. For the
Freezing Spray Advisory, from 1 AM to 7 PM EST Monday.
* IMPACTS...Operating a vessel in freezing spray is hazardous.
Freezing spray may render mechanical and electronic components
inoperative. Ice accretion on decks and superstructures may
result in some loss of stability. Strong winds will cause
hazardous seas which could capsize or damage vessels and reduce
visibility.
