The Sights and Smells of the Boatbuilders Show on Cape Cod

It’s a fact: You can tell how good something is by how it smells. And the Boatbuilders Show at Cape Cod smelled like boatbuilding at its best when it opened its doors on February 10, with the essence of fresh varnish, paint, and clean fiberglass greeting people as they walked through the doors. Boatbuilders, designers, and other marine professionals have been putting in long hours getting their boats ready for this show, one of the first of the season. And their hard work shows, as the boats assembled at this year’s show represent some of the finest craftsmanship in New England. Here’s a selection of scenes from around the show, just moments after it opened to the public.

Rather than staying inside on a wet and sloppy Saturday, do yourself a favor and take in the best of the coast at this great show. And make sure to stop by our exhibit and say hello!
