The Concordia Company has one of the longest and most interesting histories of any boatbuilding company, and yet we are often so busy working on and sailing the classic yawls that have emerged from our boatyard here in Padanaram, we forget to tell our own story! Which is precisely why we were so pleased this month when the folks at Jamestown Distributors took special notice of the Concordia yawl.
Starting with a gorgeous opening spread of the Concordia 39 Snowy Owl in Jamestown Distributors’ summer 2015 catalog, the company went on to conduct interviews and even found an old video containing extensive interviews with Waldo Howland, who was responsible for much of the company’s early years.
