OREGON FREE FISHING DAYS – Thanksgiving Weekend, Nov. 26 & 27 (Friday & Saturday) are Free Fishing Days! On Free Fishing Weekends, you don’t need a license to fish, crab or clam anywhere in Oregon. Updates From Our Coastal Community

Harbormaster Paul Bryant of Newcastle-Damariscotta, Maine recently retired after only a half-century on the job! The boat designer/builder will continue to operate Riverside Boat Company in Newcastle as the 6th generation of his family to do so. The boatyard also provides winter storage for classic wooden vessels such as Dodge Morgan’s schooner, Eagle and the Friendship sloop, Sazerac.


Harbormaster Bill Stoll of East Tawas, Michigan retired after 40 years serving the local community. Bill began his career on the water at the age of 15 and worked his way up, eventually working for Department of Natural Resources (DNR) at the East Tawas State Harbor.
