Weather Alerts
Coastal Flood Statement issued September 15 at 10:03PM EDT until September 17 at 5:00PM EDT by NWS Key West FL
* WHAT...Minor saltwater flooding.
* WHERE...Lower and Middle Florida Keys.
* WHEN...Through Tuesday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Minor saltwater flooding of low elevation streets and
lots is likely. In the Lower and Middle Keys, this will be most
pronounced around the time of the morning high tide. In the
Upper Keys, little relief can be expected, even at lower tides.
Some storm drains will overflow, and some seawalls and docks
will be overtopped. Boaters can expect less clearance under
fixed bridges. Motorists should remember that persistent puddles
around the times of high tide are almost certain to contain a
mix of saltwater.
