Lakewood, on the southern coast of Lake Erie was established in 1889. It is one of Cleveland’s historical streetcar suburbs and part of the Greater Cleveland Metropolitan Area. Lakewood Park is one of the largest lakefront parks in Ohio and features a live concert stage, outdoor swimming pool, picnic pavilions, 4-season public pavilion, kids’ playground, baseball, volleyball, and a skate park, which opened in 2004. Lakewood has more than 150 acres of greenspace citywide.
