Point of Pines is located on the eastern coast of Edisto Island in Colleton County. It lies along the North Edisto River, just above the mouth of the river and across from Wadmalaw Island. Nearby, the remains of the Port of Pines Plantation, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, can be found.
