The Dawhoo Bridge crosses the Dawhoo River connecting the mainland to Whooping Island, part of the larger Edisto Island in Charleston and Colleton Counties. Nearby the bridge is the Dawhoo Bridge Boat Ramp, a launching site for those looking to go boating in North Creek and Edisto River. Edisto Island is home to Edisto Island State Park which has many campsites along the water as well as an education center and ranger station.
