EASTERN BOATS – For our 40th anniversary we have decided to bring back the boat that started it all. That’s right the Eastern 18 Classic is back in production!  Forty years ago, Eastern Boats offered only one model, this lovely 18’3” X 6’8” design by Royal Lowell, the Dean of Downeast boat designers. For our 40th Anniversary we have re-introduced her seaworthiness, versatility, and economy of operation. The only changes are all-composite construction, slightly increased freeboard, and a molded inner liner.

Help us celebrate our 40th anniversary in 2021. We hope you will check out our website for boats shows we plan on attending, 40th anniversary specials we may make available, and some other exciting boats we plan on unveiling in the year 2021.  It is full steam ahead for us here at Eastern, Seaway and Rosborough boats and we hope you will join us for what we believe will be an incredible year on the water.

As you may remember, Anna, our 65′ Sloop won its Spirit of Tradition category in 2019 – thanks to your votes. We are asking that you vote for us again. It’s a vote for American boatbuilding and design. Lyman-Morse, CW Hood Yachts and Stephens Waring Yacht Design are the trifecta that created this powerhouse of design and craftsmanship. Maine Boatbuilder’s Show – The Maine Boatbuilders Show Is moving back to the Portland Waterfront in 2021!Portland Yacht Services opened its doors to those who found the art and craft of messing around in boats a consuming passion. We have been tangled up by moving and didn’t have the facility to host the Show in Portland. We have built a beautiful new campus. The Pandemic Pause has ruled out the March 2021 date, but has offered the opportunity to bring the Show back home this summer without giving up the March 2022 date at the Portland Sports Complex. The same only different, we have always wanted to celebrate with an “on land and in the water “ event. This desire spawned the Small Craft Celebration, which included the opportunity for builders to demonstrate boats for clubs to give sailing demonstrations, rowing races all visible from our seawall.  Instead of two events, we will combine elements of both in July 2021.

Moonlight Marine is ready to serve your wooden kayak and canoe needs. There is still time to commission the small boat of your dreams before the spring 2021 paddling season begins.

Don’t wait till the last minute to give your boat the TLC it may need. We can service your composite and plastic kayaks and canoes as well.
We will soon be offering regional (mid-Atlantic to New England) kayak, canoe, and SUP transportation services. Right now we can provide limited (one day round trip) service and once Covid-19 eases up we will expand our travel area.
