The city of Benicia is located in the North Bay region of the Bay Area in Solano County, CA. From 1853-1854 Benicia served as the California state capital, and now the restored capital building is part of the Benicia Capitol State Historic Park. Activities in the area include a farmers’ market in the summer as well as many art exhibitions and fairs.
