...WINTER STORM TONIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING...
.A storm will pass south of the forecast area tonight and spread
snow from west to east beginning late this evening. Moderate to
occasionally heavy snow is expected south of the White Mountains and
over southwestern Maine through Sunday morning. Lighter snowfall
amounts are forecast to the north. Snow will end quickly Sunday
morning as the storm heads out to sea.
* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 3 and 5
inches.
* WHERE...Knox, Lincoln, Sagadahoc, and Androscoggin Counties.
* WHEN...From 7 PM this evening to 1 PM EST Sunday.
* IMPACTS...Even light snowfall amounts can accumulate on roads and
cause dangerous driving conditions due to snow covered roads.
Small Craft Advisory issued February 8 at 2:23PM EST until February 9 at 4:00PM EST by NWS Gray ME
* WHAT...Northeast winds 15 to 20 kt with gusts up to 30 kt and
seas 2 to 5 ft expected.
* WHERE...Coastal Waters from Stonington, ME to Port Clyde, ME
out 25 NM, Coastal Waters from Port Clyde, ME to Cape
Elizabeth, ME out 25 NM and Coastal Waters from Cape
Elizabeth, ME to Merrimack River, MA out 25 NM.
* WHEN...From 7 AM to 4 PM EST Sunday.
* IMPACTS...Conditions will be hazardous to small craft.
