Winter Weather Advisory issued December 11 at 2:50PM EST until December 12 at 10:00AM EST by NWS Cleveland OH
* WHAT...Lake effect snow expected. Total snow accumulations between
3 and 5 inches. Isolated higher amounts up to 7 inches possible in
Northeast Ashtabula Lakeshore. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.
* WHERE...Ashtabula Inland, Ashtabula Lakeshore, and Lake Counties.
* WHEN...Until 10 AM EST Thursday.
* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
conditions could impact the Wednesday evening and Thursday morning
commutes. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The snow will be moderate to heavy at times
tonight into Thursday morning with rates up to 1 inch per hour.
The snow band will shift north and east of the area by late
Thursday morning, before shifting back south and weakening
Thursday night.

An arctic cold front will move west to east through the region
this evening and overnight, with scattered snow showers and
possible snow squalls developing along the front. While
accumulations will generally be less than one inch, quick bursts
of snow combined with wind gusts up to 40 mph will lead to
reductions in visibility and slick road conditions at times.
In addition, wind chill temperatures will fall just below zero
late tonight into early Thursday morning.
Gale Warning issued December 11 at 3:28PM EST until December 12 at 4:00PM EST by NWS Cleveland OH
* WHAT...West winds 25 to 35 knots with gusts up to 45 knots and
waves 9 to 14 feet expected.
* WHERE...The nearshore waters of Lake Erie from Vermilion OH to
Ripley NY, and the open waters of Lake Erie from Vermilion OH
to Buffalo NY.
* WHEN...From 7 PM this evening to 4 PM EST Thursday.
* IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous waves which could
capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.
