Navarre Beach is located on a barrier island in the Gulf of Mexico called Santa Rosa Island. It is the nicest beach neighborhood in the census-designated place of Nararre, which is known for its beaches, swimming, and picnic spots. The beach itself has undergone two beach renourishment programs, where sand has been added to the beach to replace sand lost in hurricanes.
