Tarrytown, New York, in Westchester County is known at “the gateway to the Hudson Valley”. It is located on the eastern bank of the Hudson River, in the town of Greenburgh, and about 25 miles north of midtown Manhattan in New York City. The Tappan Zee Bridge (officially named the Governor Mario M. Cuomo Bridge) crosses the Hudson at Tarrytown, carrying the New York State Thruway (Interstates 87 and 287) to South Nyack, Rockland County and points in Upstate New York.
